This will be short post. I finished up Knitty’s Sheldon last week, and I love how he turned out. It was a great project to use up some of the Shine Sport remnants I had sitting around. I’ll probably make a few more, and give them out as gifts.
Here’s the pics:

Other news:
I’ve always had an aversion to making New Year’s Resolutions. They always seem too ambitious or too simple, and I usually forget what it was by March. This year, however, I do have a Resolution, though I’d rather call it a goal. I purchased a copy of Elizabeth Zimmermann’s (EZ) Knitter’s Almanac, which has a different project for each month of the year. My goal is to work though the whole book. I’ve already started with the Fishtrap Aran Swatchcap, and I’m loving it. Reading EZ helps me to think more about my knitting, to understand it better. It helps me figure out problems, work out designs, figure out what I like and what I don’t. Even though many of these projects I’ll rarely get to wear (knitted woolen leggings for example) I think working through this book will really stretch and improve my knitting. That’s all for today. Happy New Year!
