Last week, I was at the mall with birthday cash burning a hole in my pocket. I wanted to pick up one quality piece that would really fill a gap in my wardrobe and that would work for the spring and summer (since winter is basically over here). Originally, I was trying to find a black waistcoat, but the only one I found I wasn’t crazy about. After visiting a few stores, I spotted this lovely little bolero at Ann Taylor Loft and knew immediately that I had to have it. Being in Florida, I frequently wear tank tops and sleeveless dresses, mainly out of necessity. Yet I love to have something neutral, three quarter sleeved and cotton to throw over my shoulders to keep them warm indoors and preserve a bit of modesty. I had been hunting an article of clothing like this for awhile, and this bolero fit the bill perfectly. The cotton/modal blend is super-soft and comfy, with just the right amount of warmth for Florida air-conditioning.

You’ve already seen my new Dansko Neves, so I won’t go into too much detail again. I will say though, that these shoes do have a breaking in period. I wore them all day and did a good bit of walking, so I had several blisters from the straps by the end of the day. I still love them, but it seems I might need to start off with shorter time periods of wearing til they break in.

Since blogging about simple silver necklaces and other jewelry essentials I’ve managed to acquire several lovely pieces that I wear everyday. However lately I’ve been feeling the desire for jewelry that is colorful and chunky. Look for an Etsy Love post soon on that.
