This weekend my boyfriend and I went to a tiki party, and the requested attire was tropical. I decided to rock my beautiful new teal dress that I just got on sale at Urban Outfitters, and I added plenty of tiki friendly accessories. I got a bright yellow lei at a party store, paired that with a bright yellow headband I recently got a Busch Gardens. I added a colorful necklace underneath the lei, a wooden bangle on my wrist and some hippie chic earrings I bought in Tarpon Springs. I used a lovely linen clutch to keep my essentials on hand.

The only thing I would change would be the shoes. My black Clarks Rime sandals were super comfortable and served me well, but they don’t exactly scream tropical. I would have loved to rock these sandals:

You look faaaaaaaaaaaabulous, lady! That color is gorgeous on you and the dress is so flattering.
I love the color combo & it looks great on you! I had the same thought about the shoes though – I immediately pictured you with yellow ones to match your headband. Gosh, I’m so matchy-matchy
I love the outfit too, but it’s the headband that I love!
I LOVE it! You look wonderful!
I really like this dress on you. I do agree with you about the shoes, though.
Also, I’ve tagged you in for the prom pics thing, if you haven’t already been tagged.
